Regardless of what type of cycling you enjoy, you'll benefit from a bike that has been properly adjusted to fit your body and your riding style. Our certified RETÜL fit specialist will discuss your cycling history and goals. We'll then work with you to determine your ideal riding position.

A proper fit is critical for any and every level of cyclist. Good positioning allows riders to adapt to changes in terrain, cadence, and effort while remaining comfortable. Experienced riders find that a good fit increases efficiency, power, and comfort. Cyclists of all levels reduce the chance of cycling-related injuries, furthering their comfort, enjoyment and love of cycling.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW…

• Bike FIT is a chargeable service. Fees are based on time, equipment and expertise.

• We have several FIT packages available, depending on your needs. A free consultation will help decide how we can best address your cycling needs.

• New equipment is often needed to complete your FIT. We try our best to work with whatever you already own, however, a stem, shoes, saddle, handlebar etc. may be required. On a new bicycle, some modifications may be required, adding to the bike’s cost. We can not credit removed parts.

• If you are unable to make your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours beforehand, as we may need to re-schedule our staff.

• What to bring to your FIT: Bike Shorts (Not casual), Shoes, Jersey, Pedals, Socks, Bike, Gloves and your Bicycle,

WHAT IS RETÜL FIT?

Retül Fit is more than just a bike fit—it’s a way to learn about your body, the root cause of your aches and pains, and how a proper fit will help you achieve your cycling goals.

Retül is an inspirational, immersive and modern experience for riders. The technology is used to collect and analyze data to help the fitter advise riders and help them make the best product decisions to increase comfort, prevent injuries and improve performance.

Using 3D motion capture technology, the Retül system accurately measures every degree of movement and millimeter of distance, providing you and the fitter with data to support the choices made during the fit for your cycling equipment and personal riding experience.

PRE-FIT INTERVIEW

Whether it is for a novice or experienced cyclist, every fit begins with a brief interview with a trained technician that addresses your individual's injury history, needs and goals

FLEXIBILITY ASSESSMENT:

The 20-point Flexibility Assessment gains an accurate picture of your flexibility and other physical attributes, including assessment of foot structure, knee position, spinal curve, shoulder extension, hip flexion.

Starting with a pre-fit physical assessment, the fitter will take into account your body’s limitations, previous injuries and pains, and your goals on the bike.

EQUIPMENT SELECTION & MODIFICATION:

Using data from the Digital Sitbone Device (DSD, See section below) and the foot shape assessment, saddle options and shoe modifications are assessed and applied.

The DSD will recommend a selection of Body Geometry saddles based on the inputted parameters.

MOTION CAPTURE:

From there, the fitter will have you get on the bike (either your existing bike or fit bike) to place LED markers on 8 anatomical points of your body which will be tracked by the Retül Vantage Motion Capture system. The Retül Vantage system is used to collect real-time, three-dimensional data from each pedal stroke creating a dynamic fit experience.

The goal is to deliver a correct neutral position that's both powerful and comfortable through adjustments to seat height, handlebar height, stem length and cleat position.

DATA:

The real-time data is compiled into the Retül fit software so that the fitter can look at the numbers and dial you into your perfect riding position.

Analysis from frontal view is used to optimise hip, knee and foot alignment for greater performance and balanced power delivery. This Includes analysis of pedal and shoe placement and alignment on the saddle.

RECORDING:

Once you and your fitter have dialed in your final bike position, the fitter will create a digital map of your final bike set up using the Retül Zin tool. The bike data and Zin tool measurements are generated into a complete fit report that you can reference at any time after the fit.

We use our Retül Müve SL Fit Bike, which allows instant changes to your position and equipment without having to get on-and-off the bike.

RETÜL VANTAGE Motion Capture

Retül Vantage 3D Motion Capture is used to record the riding position in real-time, allowing for a more comprehensive fit, and for precise fit decisions.

The final position digitally measured and transferred to your bicycle.

RETÜL DIGITAL SITBONE DEVICE (DSD)

Our DSD takes the guess work out of choosing the right saddle. It uses the latest pressure-mapping technology to determine your optimal saddle width—improving fit and making long days on the bike much more manageable.

HOW DOES THE DSD WORK?

With its 768 pressure sensors, the DSD accurately measures the width of your sit bones, with sub-millimeter precision. From there, it takes these measurements, along with your preferred riding experience, into account and leaves you with the perfect Body Geometry saddle for your needs.
