Innerbarends are an innovative evolution of the good old barends from the early days of mountainbikes, but with a never-before-seen safety aspect. The Innerbarends are mounted inwards of the grips, hence the name, and allow you to move the hands far inwards, positioning the elbows such that they can comfortably rest against your torso. The position somewhat resembles that of an aerobar. This position also stretches the upper body slightly more forward, adding both an aerodynamic and biomechanical advantage. Despite the different hand position, the brake levers always remain in reach.
Innerbarends are ideal for MTB racing, XC, marathon, trail riding, touring, and all-mountain as well as Enduro, where they provide a perfect riding position for recovery on transition stages. They're also a great addition to the handlebars of trekking bikes or city bikes.
